Welcome to the Krewe of South Shore Marauders
We were formed in 2002 as a non-profit organization dedicated to fun, fellowship, and raising awareness of local issues in the South Shore area of Hillsborough County. We are a band of merry marauders whose mission is one of common good to all, loyalty, trustworthy fellowship and mutual camaraderie, as we support numerous charitable events and organizations, and pass out pirate plunder at parades!!!

"Pirate Idol Tampa Bay" is coming again on Sat., Feb. 23rd, 2008, 5 to 9pm, at the Dallas Bull on US 301. Contestants sponsored by Tampa Bay’s pirate krewes display their talent, and work through 3 rounds of competition. The audience cast votes at $1 each to select the winning Pirate Idol. Our annual golf tournament is back on Sat., Apr. 19th, 2008, at the Renaissance Golf Club in Sun City Center. Proceeds from this event support scholarships for South Shore students. Click here to learn more.

Our mascot is the East Indies Manatee, who joins us at some parades. We've also been know to toss little stuffed manatees to the children at parades, much to their delight!!!
Our charitable Foundation provides scholarships to worthy students in South Shore area schools, as well as funds for other charitable causes. Different events that we sponsor raise money for specific causes; e.g., scholarships, Locks of Love, missing children, cancer prevention / treatment, etc. Krewe members also help at coastal clean up, Mary Martha house, and other community service events.
